Bournemouth (20th) vs Liverpool (5th)

PL MATCHWEEK 27: LIVERPOOL VS. BOURNEMOUTH – Set your alarm, grab a cup of coffee, and get prepared as Liverpool continue their Champions League qualification march by taking on a struggling Bournemouth in the early match this Saturday.

Liverpool have been in excellent form recently and will have the utmost confidence coming into this game after beating Manchester United 7-0 in their previous game.

In their five game unbeaten streak, Liverpool have been scoring goals for fun, averaging 2.6 goals per game and netting 2+ in 4 of the 5. Livepool currently sit 5th in the Premier League table and are only three points behind 4th place with a goal in hand.

Bournemouth on the other hand currently sit in dead last in the Premier League and are likely bound for relegation.

They will consider themselves very unlucky to not have gotten at least a point from the league leaders Arsenal last week as Bournemouth started out with a 2-0 lead, which they eventually lost.

To put it bluntly, Bournemouth find themselves in bad form right now and have only managed 1 win in their previous 10 Premier League matches.

Prop Bets

Austen’s best prop bets ofr Matchweek 27: Bournemouth vs. Liverpool

Darwin Nunez to Score Anytime (-105)

Darwin Nunez may not necessarily have the most goals to his name, but he is always at the center of Liverpool’s attack.

He has had 2+ shots on target in 11 of his 15 starts. Nunez has found the back of the net 4 times in his last 4 fixtures.

In a game against last place Bournemouth I like his chances of finding the back of the net.

Liverpool Over 1.5 Total Goals (-245)

The last time these two teams met this season, Liverpool put up a whopping 9 goals against Bournemouth.

That’s more goals in a single game than Chelsea has scored all of 2023. Bournemouth have also conceded a league-worst 51 goals this season. I like Liverpool’s chances of getting multiple in this one.

Liverpool Over 5.5 Corners (-245)

Liverpool are averaging 6.36 corners per game this Premier League season and have had 6+ corners in 13 of their 25 matches.

Even though Bournemouth actually played rather well against Arsenal last week, they still managed to give up 17 corners to Arsenal.

Liverpool Moneyline + All 3 Props Above (+285)

Tips

  • In the previous 6 fixtures between these two teams, Liverpool are unbeaten and have outscored Bournemouth 24-1.
  • Liverpool are currently on their longest unbeaten streak of the season.
  • Liverpool have only picked up 12 points of a possible 36 in away games this season.
  • Liverpool have maintained 5 clean sheets in a row.
  • Liverpool have the 3rd most goals in the Premier League.
  • Bournemouth have the worst defensive record in the Premier League.
  • Bournemouth have not won a game at home since mid-November 2022.
  • Only 16 of the 51 goals Bournemouth have conceded have come at home.

The Word

Liverpool have played themselves back into contention for a top four finish and a Champions League birth next season. With 13 goals in their previous five matches and five consecutive clean sheets, it appears that Liverpool are back to their normal selves and that Jurgen Klopp has both his offense and defense firing on all cylinders.

Bournemouth will hope to keep the game close, hold a tight box and make the game scrappy in order to get any points from this fixture. I think Liverpool will dominate possession and get the job done comfortably here.

PREDICTION: BOURNEMOUTH 0 – 3 LIVERPOOL
