Over their bye week, the Ravens managed to win without even playing. Since Baltimore beat the Chargers 14 days ago, the Steelers have lost twice, and the Browns have lost once. The Chiefs’ loss in Green Bay means Baltimore can claim the No. 1 seed by winning out.
This team keeps trotting Desmond Ridder out there for whatever reason as if he’s ever going to be a legitimate NFL option and until both him and Artie Smith are gone, Falcons games should only be televised on Cinemax after dark. My kink is endless punts.
Moore was the biggest beneficiary, with Flacco as the starter. He also benefitted from Amari Cooper leaving with a concussion and could be the number one target this week if Cooper cannot play. Moore caught four of his 12 targets for 83 yards.
What’s more frustrating than the loss itself is that UGA for the first time went into the conference championship weekend ranked #1 but lost and dropped to #6, missing the playoffs.
The Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) travel to face the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) for a Monday Night showdown between teams heading in opposite directions. The Jaguars have hit their stride winning the last two games and going 7-1 since a 1-2 start to the season. The Bengals are reeling after losing their last three games and the last two since losing quarterback Joe Burrow to season-ending wrist surgery.
Betting on the NFL is hard and sometimes you’re down bad after the early/late afternoon slate. Luckily, we’re here to help you get that money back (or lose more) with my prime time teaser. You’ll have action on both of the evening games for Sunday and Monday and a chance to right the ship after a wayward weekend of football gambling.
The Arizona Cardinals (2-10) visit the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-4) in a game that has significant playoff and draft slot implications. With an improved offense and favorable schedule, the Steelers look to challenge for the division title and playoffs.
The defenses are ahead of the offenses here, and neither team is likely to put up huge numbers. Florida State has to try to do so, but the Seminoles are really in no position to do that without Jordan Travis.
It’s hard to pick against either of these teams for different reasons. On one hand, Georgia has dominated for the past two years and plays its best football against the best teams on its schedule. On the other, Alabama keeps finding ways to hang around when it should have been dead and buried by now.
