Believe it or not, the Boston Celtics have extended this series to a Game 6 in Miami on Saturday. After being down 3-0, the Celtics have won the past two games, both of them by double figures, to give them a shot at making the NBA Finals for the second straight season.Â
One or two scenarios will play out. Either the Heat will finally eliminate the Celtics, or the Celtics will put themselves in a position to do what no team in NBA history has accomplished – coming back from a 0-3 deficit.Â
Boston saw all five starters finish in double figures and held the Heat to their lowest-scoring output of the series. As a result, the Celtics now go back to Boston for Game 5 and a terrific opportunity to move the series to 3-2.Â
Once again, Nick Nurse is entrenched in Suns rumors. At this point, it would be surprising if the former Toronto Raptors head coach did not land one of the three jobs. To be honest, he has his choice of the three, or at least we could assume.Â
The situation in Boston is not going well, and a four-game sweep in the ECF as the 2-seed to the 8-seed surely won’t have fans pleased. However, that’s what’s going to happen.Â
One of the reasons why I appreciate what Butler brings to the table is that he continues to prove that good things happen when you’re willing to put in the work, a sentiment that should motivate and inspire each and every one of us.
