D-Backs (-140) at Tigers

I like Arizona’s Merrill Kelly on the bump tonight – he’s 7-3 with a 2.80 ERA and an impressive 1.08 WHIP.

The Tigers are an up and down team.

Right now they are on a downward trend, losing eight of their last nine games. Oddly, the D-Backs are winning on the road this season, winners of six of their last seven road games and eight of 10 overall.

Pick: D-Backs (-140)

Mets at Pirates (-120)

Oh my, the Metsies coughed up a heartbreaker last night, blowing two big leads to Atlanta and choking late. The losing is starting to get to them, and ol’ Bucko is about to be Gonzo. The Mets have hit an anemic .198 as a team over their last seven games.

The Metropolitans have lost six straight while the Pirates have won six of their last eight. Fade the Mets all night long.

Pick: Pirates (-120)

Bosox at Yankees (-155)

Gerrit Cole at home at -$155? Beam me up Scottie! Lets see…he’s 7-0 with a 2.82 ERA, a 1.13 WHIP and 84 K’s in 79 innings.

Call me a Cole troll.

Pick: Yankees (-155)

Houston (EVEN) at Cleveland

The Astros lost three of four to Toronto and they need a win here. Christian Javier has been their most reliable starter. Houston always wins on Friday night. Who knows why? Who cares why?

Pick: Houston (EVEN)

Cubs (+110) at Giants

Marcus Stroman. Beat him if you can.

Pick: Cubs (+110)
