Staff Picks

John Fredericks

I’ve said for three months the Eagles defense was a sham. It was a matter of time before teams started exposing their weak linebacker corps and a suspect secondary.

Kevin Bayard, bless his heart, has lost a step. This is a nasty Seahawks team at home.

Pick: Seattle (+3.5)

Jack Fredericks

I hate agreeing with John here, because he’s thew king of the square bet, but I favor the Seahawks at home tonight. Even though Geno Smith & Company have lost four in a row, they’ve covered in three of those games. Everyone knows the twelfth man poses challenges for opposing teams and this is no different.

My one hesitation is the Eagles’ motivation. After the Cowboys took the L last night, the Eagles may be eager to put one on Seattle in a primetime spot.

Yeah, yeah. Maybe. Still, I think the Seahawks keep it close enough to cover the 3.5 points.

Pick: Seattle (+3.5)

Nate Perry

Everyone is hopping off the Eagles bandwagon after two straight losses. Those two losses were to the two best teams int he NFC.

Philly excels at beating bad teams in the NFC. Seattle is a bad time in, you guessed it, the NFC. Eagles roll.

Pick: Eagles (-3.5)
