Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton Expert Pick

Manchester United vs. Wolverhampton Expert Pick

MANCHESTER UNITED VS. WOLVERHAMPTON EXPERT PICK – ManU are currently on a two game slide and are letting Liverpool edge closer and closer to claiming their top 4 spot, but they are finally back at Old Trafford and will take on Wolverhampton as they look to get back on track.

THE RED DEVILS

ManU are currently sitting in 4th place in the Premier League but they can feel Liverpool breathing down their neck after two consecutive disappointing results. In their last match, they fell 1-0 to West Ham United thanks to David De Gea’s blunder between the sticks.

Recently, ManU have found it difficult to unlock their opponents defense and have been shut out in 2 consecutive games. No matter how much of a complete mess they’ve been away from home, they have made up for it at Old Trafford.

They are on a 15 game unbeaten streak at home and have not lost on their own turf since August 7th, 2022. Can they make it 16 straight?

WOLVERHAMPTON

Wolverhampton are currently in 13th place in the Premier League standings and have not really been at their best this season, especially in away games.

They are however on a pretty good run and have won 5 of their last 7 Premier League games…granted every single one of those wins were at Molineux Stadium. In their last match they were able to edge out a very good Aston Villa team 1-0.

Wolverhampton are winless in their previous 6 Premier League games played away from home and at least one team drawing a blank in a Wolverhampton match has become somewhat of a pattern as of late.

In their last 6 Premier League matches this has happened on 5 occasions. All patterns aside, we shall see if this trend continues in their upcoming game against Manchester United.

THE WORD

I’m predicting a low scoring but rather comfortable win for Manchester United. They have an impressive squad at their disposal, they’ve looked good under manager Erik ten Hag, and overall they have had an excellent campaign.

No matter how bad or how many goals they’ve conceded away from home, they have made up for it by being dang near impenetrable in front of their own fans.

Wolverhampton are mathematically safe from relegation and I am expecting a drop off in performance from them as they honestly have nothing to play for other than pride.

Wolverhampton can pack a punch on the right day though and have had some good results against good teams this season. Even though Manchester United are on a slight stumble at the moment, I expect them to get back on their feet and pick up all 3 points in this one.

PREDICTION: MANCHESTER UNITED 2 – 0 WOLVERHAMPTON
