UGA vs. Mississippi State Preview and Prediction

The Bulldogs from Athens face the Bulldogs from Starkville at 4:15pm on the SEC Network on Saturday. These two teams are at polar opposite ends of the SEC food chain at the moment. However, UGA looks susceptible due to their shaky offense and Mississippi State has proven they can hang with top talent by keeping things close with Texas for a good portion of the game. Let’s break down this match up.

UGA Dominates the Fledgling Auburn Tigers

Another slow start plagued the Bulldogs as they defeated the Tigers in Athens on Saturday. While I missed the score prediction by a few points (I guessed 31-17), I think I captured the feel of this game fairly well. UGA fans handled a rival fairly comfortably during the game but are still searching for more, as UGA has yet to look like a championship caliber team this season. Here’s the good, bad, and ugly that happened in the game.

UGA vs. Auburn Preview and Prediction

The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry is back again, this year in Athens. UGA has dominated this series as of late, and apart from a couple of flukey plays, UGA would be nearly undefeated in the last 15 years against the Plainsmen. As 23 point favorites, Vegas expects UGA to comfortably roll again this year. A quick glance at 2-3 Auburn and #5 UGA would make everyone think a blowout will ensue. There may be more that meets the eye with this matchup.

UGA Loses to Bama...Again

UGA Loses to Bama…Again

A classic tale of two halves, but the result ultimately didn’t change. UGA started slow, yet again, and then came out firing midway through the 3rd quarter. They took the lead for all of about 15 seconds before giving up a long touchdown to WR Ryan Williams on the first play of the subsequent drive. The Dawgs moved the ball down the field again, only for Carson Beck to throw a pick in the end zone on a ball intended for WR Colbie Young

UGA vs. Alabama Preview and Prediction

Here we go. The biggest matchup of the season so far is here as #2 UGA faces off against #4 Bama this week. Kirby vs DeBoer. Beck vs. Milroe. Williams vs. Starks. This game is a clash of the titans, the two best programs in college football in the last decade.

Well, that was ugly. UGA just barely held off the Kentucky Wildcats in an awfully hard game to watch for Dawg fans. Kentucky jumped out to an early lead and took their lead into the 4th quarter. The Dawgs were able to fight their way back after Trevor Etienne made some big plays and ultimately Branson Robinson punched in their only touchdown on the day.
